I just downloaded using AS6.0, a new project to a brand new 4PPC30. I am getting a system alarm of Battery Discharged. I tried a seconds brand new 4PPC30 and am getting the same thing. This is the first project using AS6 so I’m not sure if there was something else I was supposed to do, but when I download an old project that was using AS4.12 the alarm never comes up.
Hello,
Can you provide details (error number, logger, etc.) of the alarm? C30 power panels are not designed for use with batteries.
Hi,
I could imagine that the device was a longer time on stock, and therefore the gold foil capacitor is empty?
If so, maybe the alarm will reset after some hours of uninterrupted connected power supply to the device (maybe a reboot is neccessary as I don’t know, how often the state is checked at runtime).
Best regards.
Hi @CJ_Bienia what is the status or solution of your topic? Can you update us?
I was able to get it to work by running AS as an administrator.
Hello all,
I also faced the same situation like yours ;then, I tried it this solution by running AS 6 as an administrator but the error keeps coming out.
This is also my first project using AS6. And also charged for over 3 hours, it was still the same.
The 4PPC30 has no battery. It uses a gold foil capacitor to buffer the real-time clock.
So do you have new C30 or old one?
Have you already tried leaving the unit powered for 3+ hours and then restart?
Where do you see the alarm, in the logger, can you share print screen with us?
This is VC4 alarm? To which datasource is this connected? Anything in the logger? Do you have neweset version of VC4, AS6 and hwx file? check also webpage, not only AS update functionality.
