4PPC50.156B-10B Panel Linux update

Hello,

please, I need your help with Linux system update for Panel 4PPC50.156B-10B. Now I have version 1.1.1

I use Automation Studio 4.12 and I downloaded V4.7 LX Upgrade PPC50 ZIP version 1.3.2.0. I unpacked a new 64GB USB drive from the box. I looked, the format is FAT32. I moved the ZIP to the flash drive. I had the files extracted. I tried 2 options, first that files was in root, and second, that files was in file AS4_LX_PPC_50_V1.3.2. According to the instructions, I checked that these files are there: PPC50Image.img.gz PPC50Image.info PPC50Image.img.gz.sig . Also file license was there.

In Automation Studio, I changed AR embedded to Terminal on Subsystem for IF3 and IF4 USB.

I tried Warm restart and Cold restart and still nothing happened.

I tried it also on second panel, where is version 1.0.1 and still nothing.

Please, can you help me? I do not know what I am doing wrong.

C50/update/USB

  • Download image from webpage
  • Prepare USB flash disk, FAT32
  • Copy complete update to USB disk root
  • Plug it in to USB of C50 that is assigned to terminal. By Default it is IF4

  • Restart C50, update will start automatically according to your configuration

If a USB stick is not recognized, even if everything is configured and prepared properly, try a different USB stick (a different brand) the best from B&R

Maybe I have already figured out why it does not work, I will let you know.

I used 64GB Flask disk. I checked it in Disk Manager and it was FAT32. If I tried to format disk, there was only NTFS and exFat.

So I tried 16 GB Flask disk, formate to FAT32 and it is OK.
