8I66S200037 Display OFF

The B&R 8I66S200037.0P-000 module, and the 7-segment display on the front of the module is completely OFF.

Checked the PLC project and found that this module is currently disabled/not activated in the hardware configuration.

Question is:

If the module is disabled in the configuration, is it normal for the 7-segment display to remain OFF, or should the display still power up and show a status/error code? Iā€™m trying to determine whether this behavior is expected due to the configuration or if the display/module itself may be faulty.

Additional observations:

  • The module is powered.
  • The S/E LED shows a repeating pattern: ON ā†’ 3 blinks ā†’ OFF ā†’ repeat.
  • Communication with the interface module is not established.

Has anyone experienced similar behavior with the 8I66S200037.0P-000?

Hello,

as far as i know the Display of the Inverter is always on if the inverter has a propper Power-Supply.
I am not an Expert for this device but i nerver observed any of this inverters powered on but Display off.

If you are not sure if the Configuration from the PLC does change some behaviour, disconnect all Fieldbus Cables and powercycle the Inverter.
