ACOPOSmulti series discontinuation? (8BVI0110HxS0-000-1 and similar products)

Dear Experts,

Recently I visited several ACOPOSmulti product pages on the B&R web site and noticed that most are shown with yellow Classic status label.
Can someone please tell me any more details about the ACOPOSmulti series product discontinuation?
Including but not limited to,
When did the Classic stage begin?
When would the next stage of their life-cycle start?
Which products/groups are affected?
What are the recommended replacements?
etc.

I’m primarily interested in mid-sized drives, such as 8BVI00xxHxS0-000-1, 8BVI0220HxS0-000-1 , 8BVI0110HxD0-000-1 and similar.
Including drives with and without SafeMOTION. Also Including relevant Power Supply and accessory modules.

Please let me know or point to any relevant link or document with details.

I would greatly appreciate your time and efforts.

Thank you and Best Regards,

Alexander

Hi there,

we generally have no timelines present publicly. All of our customers should have received this via the usual channels.

Moving the various modules to “EOL” started in 2023 for double axis standard modules and end of 2023 for single axis, as far as I can track it. Beginning of 2025, ALL -1 standard and -1/-3 safety modules have been moved to classic.
Regarding transition to the next phase, I am not sure if this can be disclosed on a public forum. I recommend getting in touch with our sales channel.

All modules have compatible replacements, though by replacing the “-1” in the order code on standard modules with “-1” and for safety, “-1” and/or “-3” to “-4”

Example:
Non-Safety:
8BVI0014HWS0.000-1, Status “Classic” → 8BVI0014HWS0.000-3, Status “Active”
Safety:
8BVI0014HWSS.000-1, Status “Classic” → 8BVI0014HWSS.000-4, Status “Active”

Newer modules also require minimum versions for ACP10/mappMotion (as seen on the product pages, examples above)
8BVIxxxxxxDx.xxx -3: V5.06.2
8BVIxxxxxxSx.xxx -3, 8BVPxxxxxxxx.xxx -3, 8BVI/PxxxxxxSS.xxx-4, 8BVI/PxxxxxxSA.xxx-4, 8BVI/PxxxxxxDS.xxx-4: V5.24.1

Hope that helps,
best regards
Michael
