APC3100 - BIOS update error "Invalid firmware image!"

During the update of the BIOS on the APC3100, it could happen that you will face the following issue - an error “Error : Invalid firmware image!!!”

There could be one limitation in such a case:
BIOS settings backup function for variable backup/restore is due to the newer Insyde H2O BIOS Core starting with BIOS V1.40 no longer compatible with older BIOS versions.

In such a cases, we recommend to try the following:

  1. Load setup defaults in BIOS before upgrading.
  2. Try different BIOS upgrades (maybe the BIOS upgrade V1.40)
