APROL - SYSLOG error when compiling / building in CAE Manager

Hello,

Since 2 months i have a strange issue on 2 differents APROL systems on APROL 4.2-06P4.

It happen when i compile a block or doing a build or even a download.
Reboot the runtime is the only solution i have now but on one of the APROL concerning, it happen every day.

Hello Vincent,

From this screenshot, it is hard to tell where the issue is.

However, I can tell that the file ‘syslog’ is missing from the file path /home/aprolsys/APROL/logfifos.
Can you please check if it is really missing, and if it exists, what permissions the file has?

Did you configure and activate Chronoplex in AprolConfig?

As you can see from the included screenshot, the system is continuously working with these files.

Yes, files exist and permissions seems OK.

Chronoplex configured and activated.

Thanks Vincent, please update us when you find the cause of the problem.
Normally 2 support groups don’t work on the same issue so I think on Community side we wait feedback from your local support.

Hello Vincent, Ihave the same problem “cannot open log fifo '/var/opt/aprol/APROL/logfifos/syslog”

Hello,

Only solution provided by B&R was to re-install eng session. It works but i stil didn’t know what was the problem source.

Hello Vincent, thanks for the answer . Does it mean you must reinstall the Aprol Software or “only” delete and restore CC-Account engin in AprolConfig?

I have also contacted B&Rsupport.

Delete and restore CC-account is enough.

How did it appear on your system ? Which APROL version ?

Hi Vincent,

I do not when and why this occured. I have installed the Patch 4, CAE-restore from one project, maybe somethimg more - I dont know exactly.

My problem wasthe rights from the folders (APROL, logfifos, some issues witch chronoplex):

here are some commands:

chown :aprol /var/opt/aprol/APROL

chmod 770 /var/opt/aprol/APROL /var/opt/aprol/APROL/logfifos

restorecon -v /var/opt/aprol/APROL/logfifos

vim /var/log/aprol/ChronoPlex.err

If you have a running system maybe you can compare the folders and rights and owners.

/var/opt/aprol/APROL/logfifos is not standard, or maybe in APROL 4.4, i’m still in 4.2-06 for now, waiting AS 6 before migration.
Mine is inside /home/aprolsys/APROL/logfifos

All rights are good compared to another good running system but 660 instead of 770.

I will try chmod 770 and restorecon, i still have one APROL with these issue on 4.2-06
