Dear community members,
I have successfully set up an automation PC 910 to run Windows 10 over Aremb according to this guide and with the help of Mr. Hilchenbach on this post which I created a few days ago.
The question now is how I can disable autoboot of Windows 10 after automation runtime has started. Ideally I would like to be able to turn autoboot on and off, I am guessing there is already a parameter for this.
Thank you in advance.
What is the purpose behind this if I may ask ?
Hypervisor is intended to have a GPOS and ARembedded
Nevertheless in the BIOS of the APC the boot order is “BR Hypervisor” on the first place. If you only want to have GPOS then you assign the GPOS to the first place.
This will not work for ARemebedded as there is no boot entry for ARembedded and therefor the option is either Hypervisor (with GPOS and Arembedded) or only GPOS
Thank you for your prompt reply Mr. Doberer,
the reason is that I don’t want to wait for the PC (target) to restart every time I transfer a new configuration.
Hypervisor needs only a few seconds to restart, Windows 10 needs longer and I would like to know if it can be avoided.
It’s no big deal if it can’t.
Basically ARembedded does not need to wait for the GPOS. It is running “independently”
As soon as it is available it will react to downloads and also start the task processing - even if GPOS is still booting up
So there is no drawback to also have a GPOS running
Yes, makes sense since the resources used by AREmb are completely independent.
Thank you again for your support and the clarifications.

And as a sidenote there is no need to call me “Mr. Doberer” … I am simply Oliver
