Hi have converted program from AS4 to AS6 and it was build completely. In AS4 we were using automation runtime P4.93 in AS6 we are using 6.6. And our hardware is also same. I tried to load code through online transfer and USB both. While online transfer it show error “Project installation not possible due to a hardware or automation runtime mismatch between target and project” Attached photo for the same. And with USB it doesn’t get uploaded on controller. what can be the issue?
Message is clear. Unplug CF card from PLC, use USB reader and generate new CF card from AS6. Do a backup first or use brand new CF card if you do want to loose original project and maybe some local settings?
I tried to do with CF card but it shows above error. I also tried to install with RUC package but didn’t work. One thing i observed when I connected CF card with old project of AS4 there were log files generated in all partition. After loading code through AS6 all data get removed and no log files get generated. even the user partition that we created was also empty.
Hi, it is hard to say from a printscreen. Is this a hypervisor system? What HW do you have? TBH, from a Community point of view, it is hard to help you; this is work for support, to check what your real state is and maybe also check your project after migration.
What I would do in your case:
- Create a new empty project in AS6 with proper HW and AR used.
- Install it and let it run. If this works, then you know everything is ready for AS6.
- Then you can open your migrated project, disable all tasks, etc., and download only the HW configuration, etc.
- If you are still in RUN mode, then download your tasks.
That is what I would do. Especially the result after the first two steps would be interesting.
I have already tried to install empty project in controller but that also didn’t work. I am using PPC 2200 controller with Linux 10.7. I also checked verify the Linux computability.
ok then it has nothing to do with migration of project from AS4 to AS6. You have to first be able to run new AS6 configured hypervisor project, empty one is ok and after that you can return back to your migrated one. Im not sure if Linux 10 is still supported for AR6, probably yes but still better to update Linux 12. And I would update also hypervisor driver. But I have not done this installation for while, so I would say others from Community can help there better than me.
