In AS 6.1, lines are always automatically connected to both sides of a function block. While it’s possible to remove the line on the output side, the line on the input side cannot be removed, which prevents me from entering an input. Is there any way to solve this?"
Hello,
you have to enable “EN/ENO” to get “normal inputs”
This is due to IEC61131-3 as far as I know where FBKs cannot “float” without a connection to the left side
Thank you! I have a few more questions to ask.
The YouTube tutorial videos are based on AS4, but there are noticeable differences in AS6.1, which makes me curious about the specific changes. Even when I enable “EN/ENO,” the recipe function doesn’t seem to work properly. Many features fail to operate as expected in AS6.1, even when I follow the tutorial step by step. This issue seems to occur frequently when using LD programs. Do you know if there is any updated or helpful information available regarding this?
I’ve checked the online help, but most of the documentation still seems to be based on AS4. That makes it quite challenging to find clear and up-to-date information for AS6.1
I am sorry but I do not know about which “recipe” function you are talking about.
AS4 and AS6 ladder are totally different mainly as the old ladder within AS4 was a mixture of ladder and function block diagram meaning that the old version was not according to IEC61131-3
This was now changed
If you assume that there are bugs in the new implementation then it would be better to get in touch with your local office as they can help you and also forward bug issues to B&R headquarter
Thank you for the clear explanation!
