I have a lots of problem trying to install AS6.5..0.306
Doing uninstall-install lots of time
Some time installer run up to end, but i get random error 701 when trying open mappView page
Some time installer show “complet” but still doing stuff
Some time, at AS start, I get this
I am using “AdminByRequest” to install AS6.5
I feel like ABR do not assign full admin level and some part are not well installed
Can you help me ?

At the company I work for we also had Admin By Request. We also had a lot of problems installing automation studio (AS5.X.X) and the IT therefore decided to remove Admin By Request and to search for an alternative.
.agree. as alternative you can use virtual mechine with full rights.

I try on VM with full admin (no ABR, Win 10), It seems it is working …. except, i still have trouble with the text system (see “Text AS6”)

I think this is more of an issue running ARsim in a VM as an Automation controller for testing/ModbusTCP control.
I’ve worked with customers using Automation Studio from 3.0.90 and later in VMs. The biggest issues we run into is if the VM is trying to access files on the host machine and not in the VM.
