The Windows CE admin password is enabled on a used 5AP920.1706-01, but is unknown.
Can this be reset? If so, how?
Or can Windows CE be reset to factory settings and thus also remove the admin password? If so, how can this be done?

The Automation Panel 5AP920.1706-01 is just a display. Since you do not mention a PC, I assume you have a PPC310 unit which is inserted into the displays link slot and makes the whole unit a PPC.
This PPC ran Windows XP or Windows CE 5.0 / 6.0.
Regarding a password reset B&R cannot help you. You need to contact the OEM who installed the machine.
If you need the basis image the B&R can provide this but notice that if you set this up then any customer software installed by the OEM will be gone and the system will reset to factory settings.
So you might want to backup the software and settings actually running on the CF.
If you wish for this then please contact your local B&R support office with the SN of your device and they can provide you with the necessary files to recover the OS using the B&R Embedded OS installer.
