Hello Yes profinet or profibus is also possible. E.g. using a X20CPx6xx you can use a interface card (X20IFxxxx) For Profinet: X20IF10E1-1 => Profinet Master X20IF10E3-1 => Profinet Slave Or Profibus: X20IF1061-1 => Profibus Master X20IF1063-1 => Profibus Slave Lg Michael

Hello, The best would be OPC UA in my view, but I don’t know if the Siemens S7-300 has OPC UA implemented by default. Another possibility could be TCP communication—the AsTCP library .

Hello Hashmith X20cCP1584 has one slot for interface modules. So if this slot is not already used, you can use it for one of the mentioned IF modules. Make sure to also use a coated IF module, like the PLC (X20cCP1584). Lg Michael

I just would like to mention that a simple data exchange can also be done without any additional interface. If the data is not time critical or deterministic you can also use Ethernet port and send UDP or TCP frames (I suppose the Siemens PLC also offers a Ethernet interface)
