B&r plc display error code : PVI #12062 , what does this mean?

Hello, I have a problem. When I connect the B&R screen to the computer, I get the error PVI #12062. The com port is correct. Do you know the reason for this error? Can you help me?

  • What B&R device are you using?
  • When you say “computer” do you mean your laptop or a B&R PC?
  • Where is the PVI error being displayed? Is it in Automation Studio or does it come from the application’s alarm system?

Additionally, if you’re able to provide any screenshots those would be helpful as well.

In case it helps you, here is the description of PVI error 12062:

PVICOM not initialized / already initialized

1) After starting the application or after calling function PviDeinitialize, a user function other than PviInitialize was called. 2) User function PviInitialize (without error response) was called a second time without first calling function PviDeinitialize.
