Just a quick update that might be useful if you’re sourcing B&R hardware in the field or working on machine builds:
B&R and RS (formerly RS Components) have signed a cooperation agreement. That means RS will now distribute B&R products through their online shop and physical channels.
From a technical/user perspective:
• You can browse and order B&R products online via RS
• Orders are fully traceable (tracking + delivery status)
• RS handles logistics and local stock, so in some countries, delivery might be faster
• Local support remains available via RS and B&R
• Initial rollout is for selected European countries – more will follow
This doesn’t replace our usual B&R sales and support channels. It’s an additional option—especially good for small-to-mid-sized orders, urgent parts, or projects where the ordering process is owned by someone outside of engineering.
My take: It makes it easier for teams to get what they need without waiting on longer procurement chains. Still the same B&R quality, just via a trusted distributor with digital-first logistics.
If you’ve used RS for other components (sensors, relays, drives), you probably know the process is solid. Now, it includes B&R too.

Curious what your experience is.
