Hi,
I am using automation studio 6.1 and trying to add a “Library Sample”.
But the path “C:\Program Files (x86)\BRAutomation\AS6\AS\Samples” doesn’t exist.
There is just “C:\Program Files (x86)\BRAutomation\AS6\Samples” with 2 examples for OpcUa.
I tried to uninstall + reinstall AS. But it doesn’t fix the problem.
Does anyone else have this problem?
Do I need to install an upgrade?

That path (C:\Program Files (x86)\BrAutomation\AS6\AS\Samples) is correct for me, so it sounds like the samples aren’t getting installed for you for some reason. Did you ever install AS 6.0, or just 6.1? I know that the installer for 6.1 was slimmed down quite a bit since it’s an upgrade to 6.0. I wonder if the samples aren’t in the 6.1 installer. We’ll see if anyone confirms that, but in the meantime, which sample are you looking for? I can try uploading it here for you.

I have only installed AS 6.1. I will try with AS 6.0.
I was looking for examples with FileIO. But I found the information I wanted in the help:
I was also looking for the motion sample “LibACP10MC_Axes_ST”, but I can migrating it from AS 4.12.

Ok, problem solved!
I just reinstalled AS 6.0, from a clean start.
Library Samples + Motion Samples are indeed available by installing version 6.0.2.177.
In fact, the 6.0 installer is much more complete than the 6.1 installer (e.g., 6.1 does not include the “Scene Viewer”, “Servo Pump Sizing Tool”, “SERVOsoft” and “VC Windows Terminal” add-on installers).

[Edit]: For this to work correctly, it is important to leave checked “Automation Help - English” during installation (in my case at least).
Thanks for the update, Thomas! I know that the Help had been removed from the AS 6.1 installer as well, but it’s good to have a reference as to what else had been removed.
