I would like to test a POWERLINK connection between a PLC and a KEB drive, but I do not have a POWERLINK master available.
Is it possible to simulate a POWERLINK master with Automation Studio in order to read and write parameters of the drive via the POWERLINK connection?
Thank you in advance for your feedback.
Hi Christian,
in theory, you can run a Powerlink stack of any network card, but it would require a mayor effort to make this work, so I don’t think this is a realistic solution. Try to reach out to your local B&R rep and ask them to loan you a PLC for a few weeks. You have a realistic test with minimum effort.

the mater is, i don’t have local B&R rep and i just want to know if it’s possible
I’m willing to make the effort, but unfortunately I thought it would be as easy as it is under CODESYS.
