Hi,

and welcome to our community.

This legacy device is not programable with Automation Studio, because it’s a Power Panel with BIOS and was designed for usage with a GPOS operating system (as I remember, it was used with Windows XP or CE).

The Power Panel device family PP100 has had two different device types: the BIOS devices where the order code started with 5PP…, and the Automation Runtime devices with order code 4PP… only the 4PP… devices were usable with Automation Studio.

Best regards!

Pourriez-vous m’indiquer la démarche à suivre pour résoudre le problème affiché à l’écran ?

Hi,

if there was nothing changed on the hardware itself, I can only assume that the mass storage device (the CF card) or the panel itself is damaged - the message just says that the PP isn’t able to start because it can’t find a mass storage boot device.

I can’t say which GPOS system was installed before the error happened, I think only the machine manufacturer knows it. But from the size of the CF card used (65 MB), I assume it was Windows CE or something machinebuilder specific (I can’t imagine that Windows XP was able to run from such a small mass storage device).
Additionally, I’m pretty sure that there was machine manufacturer specific software installed on the device, because B&R just delivers the hardware, and maybe the base operating system (if the machinebuilder orders it), but no specific HMI Software or similar.

So unfortunately I only can recommend to contact first your machine manufacturer, and maybe second your local B&R office to check if the’re still possibilites to repair a PP120 (as the hardware is discontinued for many years, I’m not sure if the’re still possibilities to repair it).

Best regards!

La carte CF est endommagée et je souhaite la réparer. Elle est accessible depuis l’ordinateur et contient le programme de commande de la machine. Elle fonctionne sous Windows CE, et je dispose également de la clé produit de Windows.

Hi,

I’m sorry, but if the CF card is damaged and cannot be repaired by standard tools like Windows check disk or similar 3rd party tools, I’ve no idea how to proceed without the help of the machine manufacturer.

Best regards.
