Power Panel 44PP420 1043 K35 is not recognized by Automation Studio 4.12 or 6

I have an specific/custom B&R HMI panel with the following hardware identification:

44PP420 1043 K35

As far as I understand, this is an specific/custom hardware version and not a standard catalog product.

The problem is that neither Automation Studio 4.12 nor Automation Studio 6 can identify this hardware when connecting to the device. The panel is reachable, but Automation Studio cannot find a matching hardware definition.

I have a few questions:

One possible explanation is that this specific hardware is supported only by an older version of Automation Studio, or that our current Automation Studio installation is missing the required hardware package.

Could you please clarify:

  • Is this device supported only by a specific Automation Studio version?

You are correct that the panel is a custom piece of hardware. You will need to download and install the Automation Studio upgrade for it in order to use it in a project. You can find the upgrade you need on the B&R website, but it requires a login so that only the company that requested this hardware can access it. If you do not have a login, you can contact your local B&R office or support channel.

This hardware is only supported in AS 4.x, it is no longer supported in AS 6.
