I haven’t duplicated in AS 6 yet with mapp view yet, but at least in Automation Studio 4.11, the formatting by the wizard (i.e. using content editor to do binding or event editor to do event programming) and the formatting via the MenuBar Edit→Advanced→Format Selection option don’t line up. The “Format Selection” will apply the smart-edit formatting of the text editors to anything elected.
It appears the wizard/AS generated code/text doesn’t respect the Smart Edit selections.
I think maybe someone from the Community can test it, but we need an example of what exactly your problem is. A screenshot or a short animated GIF can help
different indentation in text files from AS wizards/graphic editors vs using the “Format selection” function has been in AS for a long time and nothing has changed regarding this issue in AS6. Most often it concerns mappView files. I am attaching a screenshot of the .content file from the currently latest version AS 6.5.0.306.
