I am looking for GSDML GSDML-V2.1-BR-X20IF10E3_1-20101203.xml.
It seemns B&R doesn’t provide that version any more.
Can anyone help?

Thank you for your response. I have found these files, the they apply to newer versions than I need, which is 2010.12.03. Moreover, I cannot upgrade as I get the error mentioned before.
My programming of Siemens Step7 is some time ago but I would suggest that you delete the entered module, delete the imported GSDML file and then import the new one and attach the new hardware (and also assign input and output modules). This should work

Unfortunately, it is not a solution in my case. I do not have the source codes, the company that created the software does not exists anymore. As a result, I have to download the program from the PLC. Without the GSMDL files I cannot check the current configuration of the modules, so I cannot remove them and place again. As far as I am concerned, I have to have the old GSDML files to start with.
I do understand your problem but I ams sorry to tell at least I cannot help here.

You can also try local support. Some offices have their internal storage place (because of old projects they have done). The chance is small, but I think you should try all channels.
For you as well as for others, always when you contact local support and you have already started discussion at the community, share the link to the topic with colleagues as well. It can help speed up their work. Thanks a lot.

and you need an even older version.
If you edit the version 2.25 you see on the top a comment that tells you which new items are implemented:
and if you compare the 2 versions with winmerge tool, for example, you see exactly those new elements.
Unfortunately I don’t see that comment on the version 2.2 so we don’t know what it’s added or removed compare the previous version 2.1 (the one you need),
so it’s not possible to remove or add the new elements and create manually the older version.
“Avvolgitore” is an Italian word so I’m assuming the machine builder was located in Italy,
maybe our Support helped them so I would start to ping Support in Italy for the file.
If you search on Internet there are PLC forum too, this is also an alternative channel for looking your file.
