How can I License Automation Studio Ver. 4.8 on a Virtual Machine?

Hi! My customer is having the AS ver. 4.8 installed on their Virtual Machine (Jump Host). However, the license purchased here is a USB dongle 0TG-SWAS.SNG-01 which cannot be connected to the Jump Host since there is no USB port of it. I have checked the Are there any possible alternatives in this case for licensing the AS ver. 4.8?

I have noticed there is a type of license 1TGSWAS.SNG.01-02 which only works with AS staring with ver. 4.9. Is this the only option? Upgrading the AS version and changing the license?

Hallo,

If the virtual machine has no access to the USB dongle, you must install AS4.9 or preferably AS4.12 and thereafter utilize the Software Container License 1TGSWAS.SNG.01-02.

Hello

Just one input from my side.
Be aware that you cannot return a software container license.
As the software license container is on the VM, if you have for any reason to reinstall the VM, the license is gone.
