hello,
how can i downgrade a card firmware version in AS 3.0.90?
e.g. X20SI9100 from 1.9.1.0 to 1.5.0.3.
thank you.
Hi!
In older AS versions you can’t change the FW version in Automation Studio, it will automatically use the latest one! (unless frozen?! Not sure if that was already possible in 3.0.90…)
So you have to (manually) remove the latest and install the older if I recall correctly.
Best regards,
how can i remove the latest?
Hmmm. I don’t want to tell you something wrong since I don’t fully recall the process and I don’t have an AS installation to verify, but I think you had to remove the hw files installed in the AS folder…
Not sure if you also have to remove it from some xml… If you feel comfortable you can just try. (e.g. just rename the folders / backup the xml). If not wait a bit and probably someone from B&R can provide a small guide.
Hello,
please browse to your AS3.0.90 folder and delete (first make a backup of all files you delete !) following files:
- Within “…\Upgrades” the setup of the module
- Within “…\AS\Firmware” the whole folder of the module
- Within “…\AS\Hardware\Modules” the XML file of the module
After this it should be possible to install the older Firmware upgrade again
To be honest I cannot try as AS3.0.90 is way too old to install on my Win10 Laptop but the files above mentioned should be enough
ok i will try, thank you.
Thanks ! Would be great if you then tell us if this works. As mentioned I am sorry but AS3.0.90 is way out of my focus nowadays
my colleague who had this problem said that he really had to delete all files related to this HW (more then the paths you mentioned) and also the upgrade exe file and then he was able to install the old version and now its working. thank you for your support.
Thanks for the feedback ! Gald that it works now
