Hi Tom,
I do not have an answer for how to uninstall using the scripts, but what has worked well for me is powering up the APC and pressing f11 to enter the boot menu, then navigating to devices and selecting the USB to boot from. You should be given a prompt to uninstall Hypervisor then.
Hope that helps, maybe someone else here can answer your question more directly.
Hi David,
The problem for us is that we can not do this remote because you need to be there physically. So that is why I want to do this remote.
As the error message suggest the Hypervisor can only be uninstalled when it is not running. It also suggests that you should boot only the Linux side.
This is where it gets problematic for you. You need someone onsite to reboot the APC and boot only the Linux instead of the Hypervisor by entering the boot menu by pressing F11. Now instead of David’s suggestion select the Linux only instead of hypervisor.
After this you should be able to uninstall hypervisor through the Linux script, which you can then do remotely.
(Seems that it may also be possible to do from the Linux OS with “efibootmgr”, but this might be risky and if it fails or is misconfigured you could lose access to the PC completely)
I think this would be the steps.
Viewing the Current Boot Order (UEFI Mode)
Install efibootmgr if not already installed using your package manager (e.g., sudo apt-get install efibootmgr).
Open a terminal and run efibootmgr -v to display the current boot sequence.
Note the BootOrder line and the boot entry numbers (e.g., 0000, 0004).
Changing the Boot Order (UEFI Mode)
Decide the new boot order using the boot entry numbers from the previous step.
Run sudo efibootmgr -o <order> replacing <order> with the desired sequence, e.g., sudo efibootmgr -o 0005,0000,0004,0003.
Verify the change by running efibootmgr -v again to confirm the updated BootOrder.
Thanks @job.franken ,
so far I only install Hypervisor with Windows and never with Linux (I have that in my to do list…),
Do you have some notes in our User’s manuals or in AS Help how to install and uninstall Hypervisor with GPOS linux?
Thanks
Ciao

Hi @Tom_Schellekens is it your issue solved, can you update us?
