Issue with POWERLINK Communication After Bus Controller Update

Hello, I would like to ask for your help. We are using AS 3.0.9 and X20CP3484 (V1.1.3.0). We have one module X20BC0083 (V1.2.1.0) and 6 modules X67BC8321X20BC0083 (V1.2.0.0), which means we are on FW 152 with the POWERLINK Bus controllers. The modules are connected via hub 0AC808.9. I attempted to update the Bus controller to a higher version, but after the upgrade, the POWERLINK communication stopped working, and I received the error: “POWERLINK: Cycle time violation.” After reverting to the previous version, the communication works again. I would appreciate any advice. Thank you.

Hi there,

can you make a screenshot of how the hardware is supposed to look like? I think I can imagine it but pictures >> words.
Especially the IF3 (PLK) interface would be of interest.

Hi,

tried to build something similar in AS6 which has the hardware analyzer. According to it the cycle time is less than 200µs, so basically: I have no clue what it could be.

I recommend contacting your local B&R office, maybe they have some insight.
