The license for Automation Studio software has expired.“Create update failed.it is not possible to create an update from an old cmActLicense context(Firmcode:5000248)” and "The request was aborted:- could not create SSL/TLS secure channel."errors are being displayed while activating the new license for all software versions.

Due to potential vulnerabilities in the application using the TLS security protocol, which was used in Automation Studio until version 4.5, B&R no longer supports the use of the Technology Guarding program prior to V1.4.
Therefore, it is necessary to install a newer version of Technology Guarding, which is available here:
This new version is necessary to activate any of the versions prior to V4.6 of Automation Studio, even with the trial license. In that case the procedure would be:
• Start the “Technology Guarding” application
• Enter the license code in “License key”
• Click on the “Activate license online” button
• If you are asked for a name and username, you must log in in “Change options…”
