Low memory! Close editor and restart AS

In AS6.5.2.12 I get a lot of Low Memory! errors while working in the Mapp View area.
Is this an known problem or can I fix this by myself?
I need to restart AS every 10 minutes because of this error.

Hello Tom,

I cant read the screenshot as its to small but lets us check your project and steps to reproduce it.( ive send a filetransfer upload link )

We can then put the results back here.

Hello,

Just a question for more context… How much Memory does you PC have and which Operating System is running. Is a Virtual Machine involved?

At B&R we use Windows 11 and 64GB RAM for the new PCs.

Hi Michael,

I have Win11 and 32GB of RAM.

This is inside of the specs.

Hello Tom,
Thanks for the Info. I was just curious.
Looks like a normal PC, so i would expect not much issues here.

Lets wait for the Findings of Job Franken’s analysis.

Greetings
Michael

Issue is reproduced on my system and a CASE is created.

I’m curious to hear the results of your research. I’ve encountered this issue several times before, but I’ve never been able to pinpoint the cause, it didn’t happen very often; at the time, I was working on a really large mappView application.

Please update this discussion after you receive investigation summary from R&D. Thanks

Hello Team B&R,

Its been quite a while now, did you find any solution for this low memory issue. Not just mappview, sometimes even the task editer also does not open and give the same low memory issue. It takes lot of time to close and reopen and do the same sequence every 15-30mins.

It would be good if you provide some solution to get out of this.

Hi @Sharmah ,
I didn’t install yet, but there are improvements on Automation Studio 6.7, if I understood correctly in that version is implemented LAA (large address aware) extension, with that AS could use up to 3GB of usable DRAM (at the moment we have around 1.3 GB of usable DRAM for AS).
We will see…
Ciao
Valerio

Thanks Valerio for the information.
