I’m a private user of AS running AS with an evaluation license for educational purposes only.
Is it possible to get an mapp services license for database experiments (tinkering with Mariadb and MpDatabaseCore) as a license for non-commercial purpose? And if so, where?

Hi,
I’m not aware of special licenses for mapp components for your use-case.
But using it together with a evaluation license of Automation Studio I think no extra evaluation license of mapp is needed, as both share the same EULA.
From the technical perspective, using the component based licensing (mapp V5.12 and above) there’s no license dongle needed to run the mapp component:

I found the mapp services EULA 1TCMPSERVICE.10-01. However, wenn clicking the mapp services link there is no download link at all. Also on the ‘downloads‘ page the expression ‘mapp services‘ is not found. Furthermore, when selecting an entry from the “Technology“ pull-down menu this doesn’t help any further, too. Instead you more and more get the feeling of reading an ad where B&R praises itself to the skies about their outstanding software products…
Is there a special course of action to get additional B&R software?
