Mapp technologies in AS V6.3

I am currently following a tutorial on YouTube where the instructor has access to the mappMotion modules within their project structure. However, I have noticed that these modules (or the mapp folder in general) are not available in my installation of Automation Studio.

I am using the evaluation license for version 6.3 and would like to know whether access to mappMotion requires a separate installation or if it’s restricted based on the license type.

Any guidance you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @Antonio

what do you mean? With right click, are you no able to open it with the explorer?

Hi @vanessaca,

Hi @Antonio ,

did you selected already the versions, that what you need in your project?

There are two ways, via Tools/Upgrades in AS:

Or via br-automation.com you can find the Upgrades

Hi @vanessaca .

If i pick first option the versions are not showing.

If i try second option, for some reason i cannot select anything on the screen except “Local“ button. IN the corner it says that lifecycle data is out of date.

Hi,

when using a evaluation license, the online function in upgrades is disabled.

You have to download the needed packages from the website and store it locally. After that, you have to open the local section in upgrades Dialog, and browser to the folder where the downloads packages are stored → then you’re able to select those packages and start the upgrade process.
After installation has succeeded, you’re able to select the package in runtime versions.

For example, the mappMotion package should be installed:

Download from website:

After download, it’s available on your local harddrive:

In Automation Studio, open tools → upgrades:

Navigate to Local, choose your download directory → the package should be showed → select the package, start Install Selected Upgrades:

A Windows message will appear, accept it and select Start Installation in the following popup:

If you need more the one update, I recommend to download all updates first before starting Tools → Upgrades, then you can select and install all upgrades with one step.

Best regards!
