Hi,
We are having X20CP1685 with T80 HMI. Screen response is not good in T80 and the screen gets restarted. But if we connect to the laptop’s Google Chrome web browser, the screen response is fast and it works well.
Earlier we had T50 and now tried with T80. but no any difference in screen response.
We have tried on the C80 HMI controller and it’s working well.
Please help to understand what’s the issue on T50 and T80 HMI
Hello Subin,
The T Series Panels have limited processing power compared to the C Series Panels. The issue may be that your visualization has too many widgets or multiple high-class widgets that needs a more powerful system than the T50/T80. To test if your visualization is too complex for the T Series Panel remove some high-class widgets (e.g. OnlineChart, Tab Control, PDF/VNCViewer, or Tables) in a copy of the project and see if the response is better. Where i can find which widgets are supporting on T80.
Our thinking was both T80 and C80 are 80 series and both have the same capabilities.
Would be better if Automation Studio could smartly list only the widgets that support the physical HMI hardware added to the project.

Depending on your visualization it might also be that you can optimize some things to improve performance.
