Oliver
Hello, can you send me the pg 2000 installation file?
@oliver.doberer
Hello Oliver.
Quite an impressive endevour - kind of a supporting these ‘‘ancient’’ BR plc’s.
I will be one of those Random guys who came to this forum serching for PG2000,
I also would like to get the PG2000 software, if its possible?
Also In few words: Whats the diference between PG2000 ans ProSys software?
@Ozy_P welcome to B&R
I will send PG2000 via a private message to you
The main difference is that ProSys is even older and is used to program the so called Mini- and Multicontrol PLCs of B&R (the so called “black series”)
PG2000 on the other hand is (or was) the program for B&Rs 2003 and 2005 system based on MS DOS. In simpler words it is the grand-grandfather of Automation Studio AS4.x (although it is not compatible)
Basically This is the line of software for programming PLCs
ProSys
PG2000
Automation Studio 1.x (never released officiallly)
Automation Studio 2.x
Automation Studio 3.x
Automation Studio 4.x
Automation Studio 6.x
Automation Studio Code
I hate to jump on the bandwagon, but you seem to be the only source for this old software.
If I could get the link, that would be most appreciated.
I am ashamed to admit, but I was under impression that PG2000 is for Minicontrol?
Thats what I get when spending late night googling stuff.
Is the ProSys available?
Back in 2010, I first saw the Minicontrol PLC, and after quick google search I understood that theres no uploading software from PLC’s, however due to my curiosity, I set out, on a crusade to aquire a ‘‘BR minicontrol Diagnostics skill’’
programming adapter:
However the software has eluded me for quite a while now!
And theres probably nothing realistically worth my time, that I could do with it exept finishing an ‘‘unfinished task’’ thats still ocupying my brain!
Anyway. Thanks.
Hello @Ozy_P
ProSys is for Mini and Multicontrol PLC series (the so called “black series”)
PG2000 is for 2003, 2005 and 2010 PLC series (the “blue series”)
So google seems to be incorrect here
ProSys would be availabe if you would need it. Just send me a private message and I will send it to you
Nevertheless you are right that ProSys needs a so called “online adapter” which does 2 things:
If spending time for 30+ year old hardware and software is worth your time can only be answered by you but I do understand the point of the “unfinished task”
Please et me know if you would like to have ProSys and its manual
Hi, could you share the PG2000 software and any instruction manuals?
Thank you,
Josemar
@josemar.sacramento sure. I will send you a private message
Welcome to our community and best regards !
Oliver
Thank you for your support.
I have a backup from AS 2.7 saved. Can it be opened from PG2000? I tried to open it but was unsuccessful.
Thank you.
Do you know where this project was done, regard the software version B&R 2000 PLC?
AS and PG2000 are not compatible - therefor you cannot open one project with the other software.
I do not have PG2000 programming experience as this is over 25 years ago therefor I cannot help on PG2000 programming topics
I am sorry for that
best regards !
Would you be able to send this to me? It appears that we have lost our copy.
Sure ! I will send you a private message
Hello Mr Doberer,
To be honest, I got into this topic by searching the ProSYS in the web. I need this programm too becouse the company that I am partner as a freelancer uses in some systems the minicontrol plcs and they have 25 year old laptop without backup. Is it possible to send me a copy of this programm too ? If not, is there another way, perhaps more formal to get this ? Either way I would be grateful.
Thanks in advance
Hello and welcome here
