Powerlink Channels Init Value

Hi,

When i setup a powerlink device in Automation Studio i can set from the “Channels” section the Init Value of a chosen parameter.

The description says “Set at bootup”, but what does he mean with the “bootup” phase? Is it at every startup? After the transfer? It’s not clear to me.

This Init Value doesnt seems to overwrite the parameter on the powerlink device in any way, only when i change the Init Value and transfer again.

Can’t find anything on the Help about how the Init Value does work.

Thanks in advance.

Hello,

I think this “BootUp” has to be considered in the context of the Powerlink-Device and its Connection.

Every time a Powerlink Connection is established a Device will be initialised in the Network. I would asume that the Description “Bootup” will mean this initialisation when the connection will be established.

When you Reboot your PLC the Powerlink-Master will also restart and then this should also go throuh the init phase of the Powerlink Devices. So also a BootUp of the PLC would be included in the context.

But i am not an expert in Powerlink 3rd Party Devices.

Greetings
Michael
