I’m not sure what’s the cause for your issue, but I have the X20BC1083 available in the hardware catalogue of AS 6.5.
Is other powerlink hardware available on your installation, for example X20BC0083?

Hello,
as you are using an evaluation Licence i don’t know how used to Automation Studio you are. The Toolbox is sensitive to the last context you have klicked on with the mouse. To see Powerlink Hardware you first have to select the Powerlink Interface in the Physical View and then look into the Toolbox.

Note that the X20BC1083 is not a PLC, so you cannot create a new Automation Studio project with it as the PLC of the system. The X20 BC1083 is a Bus Controller (X20BC) that functions as a communication gateway between POWERLINK and X2X.
If you are looking at an existing machine, follow the POWERLINK network (RJ45 cable plugged into X20BC1083) to the PLC. The PLC may also be your HMI. You are looking for a model number that begins with 3CP…, 4P…, 5…, 7CP…, X20CP…, or X20EM…
This might not be your issue, but I find it common enough to provide a general notification about it.
