Replacing Compact CP with regular CP

Hi @all,

I’ve got a project with a compact CP0483 and want to replace it with a regular CP1685, but either the hardware tree nor the grafic hardware designer let me exchange it. Ofcourse I can create a new configuration and copy/past everything, or edit the hardware.hw file manually, but I wondererd if there is a better way doing this.

Has anybody a idea?

Hello Tristan,

Which AS-Version do you use?
In AS4.x you can’t replace a PLC if the ARsim is active. Please disable the ARsim and then the Replace entry in the Right-Klick Menü should become accessible.

In AS6.3 it seemed that this limitation was removed.

it’s AS 4.12. Simulation off did the trick. Thanks a lot :slight_smile:
