Respaldo de PLC X20 BC 0083

Buenos dias , un gusto saludarles , una compañia necesita realizar un respado del programa de un PLC X20 BC 0083.
Alguien conoce como realizar y descargar el proyecto?

Hi and welcome,

unfortunately it is unclear what your request is. An X20BC0083 is a powerlink buscoupler and not a PLC - it does not run any programs.
Please elaborate further

Best regards
Michael

What is needed is to download the content of the equipment because the machinery is going to be changed and they need
the backup.

What kind of PLC is connected to the X20BC0083? If the PLC has a removable memory card, you can use Runtime Utility Center (included in the installation package for Automation Studio). See this post for some helpful screenshots.

A couple of things to keep in mind:

  • This is a 1:1 backup and so must be restored on the same memory card (or a card of the same size)
  • Without the source code (which is not stored on the PLC) you cannot change the program or hardware, which means you’ll have to put this card back into the same kind of PLC it came out of

I actually need to make a backup of a machine, but the components that it has are an Acopos P3 servo drive that is connected to the X20 BC 0083 field bus and sorry for my ignorance. How do I make a backup of that machine?

Hi,

as stated: The X20BC0083 is a simple buscoupler → it sends and receives powerlink frames generated by a PLC. Your machine needs something running all the logic - either a PLC running a realtime OS or a PLC. That’s what you need to find and then you can create a backup. If it’s a B&R component, that’s where you can follow Marcus’ post. If it’s some third party PLC/PC, it’s following whatever that manufacturer provides for backups.

Hi,

this PLC does not have to look like a classic PLC, it could also be a PC or a panel. Ideally, it should have a B&R sticker on it with the part number.
