RunTimeFrame start-up failed!

During compiling of an (older) project, I get every time the error “runtimeframe start-up failed”

For this project I’m using AS4.5 with AR J4.25. (another AR version gives the same error)

How to solve this problem?

I have never heard of such an error. Could you attach a screenshot of the error message ?

when I restored a backup from this project i can compile it without errors, but as soon as I want to start the simulation I get this error,

I will check that missing file, but strange if it is not there

Sounds like J4.25 is not installed for ARSim

should that not be done automatically?

strange, I cannot send to the simulation, but the simulation is already running in J4.25

Basically every AS installation comes with certain AR versions. “Automatically” no other AR will be installed and this needs to be done by the user

In your case the AR seems to exist but it also seems that some files are missing - similar as some files were not correctly installed or available

probably it has to do that J4.25 is developed for AS4.2 ? Think have to update it to 4.53 and see if it is solved

J4.25 is not part of AS4.5 but it still should work

Nevertheless both versions are outdated since years

Solved: I run the upgrade and it installs the missing file

Great to hear ! Thanks for the feedback

Unfortunately, the problem has still not been resolved. The previous issue actually consisted of two problems (the simulation also did not work, but that has been resolved).

But I discover other problems, and I think they are related to each other.

In a project in AS4.6 I get with compiling the error: “RuntimeFrame start-up failed!

In AS4.2, when I go to tools > Update DTM Catalog I get:

in AS 4.5, AS4.6 and AS4.7 Tools> 3rd-Party device manager:

In AS 4.12 there are no problems, the device manager is working there

Anny Idea what can be the problem ??

Is this Windows 11 ? If yes then it might be the problem as this is not supported. Such old AS versions only run on Win10

It’s windows 11, but it has always worked before

Well it might have worked but I have to tell you that Win11 is no valid OS for the mentioned versions:

Probably Win11 did some update which affects now this old versions.

As AS4.12 works this is also a strong indication that it is caused by Win11 and its built in .Net
