On my current Laptop (Windows 11 Pro, AMD Ryzen 7 PRO 7730U, 16gB), I have the problem very often that AS stops (4.12, and also other 4.* versions). Suddenly AS doesn’t react anymore and one ore 2 seconds later it disappears. After restarting I get an error message and diagnostic information is stored. It seems that this problem occurs more when the system has an online connection with the application. When it happens very often (for example every 5 minutes) then I have to complete powerdown my computer and restart it. Then the time between two error crashes is more. I already send some log files a time ago to B&R. They thought it’s my computer, but after complete reinstalling Windows, it is still the same. Does someone else also have this problem?
Hello Harry,
I haven’t seen this behavior before, but it is important to note that only Automation Studio version 4.12 and later is supported for Windows 11. Any older versions are only supported up to Windows 10. There have been some issues with AS crashing when entering monitor mode so I would just make sure that your version of 4.12 is on the latest service pack and upgrade your Automation Runtime version to see if it resolves the issue.
Good morning. On the moment I had this problems last year the latest AS Service pack was 1.07. But I noticed that there are currently some newer ones. I have now installed SP5.95 and already work 2 days without a crash. Also before when the PC comes out of standby mode I had to restart AS for making an online connection to a target. But after installing this SP it also works without restarting. So there are made by B&R some modificaions. So the problems I had last years seems to be solved.
