Hi everyone,
When trying to diagnose SuperTrak problems, we always recommend collecting what is known as a “Snapshot” from TrakMaster. Snapshots contain configuration & status information of your SuperTrak that can be used for reference or diagnostic purposes.
Below is a step-by-step guide on how to obtain a snapshot from TrakMaster.
Step 1)
To obtain a screenshot, you will first need to connect to the B&R PLC with your laptop. Identify the IP address of the PLC. If you don’t already know this information, contact the OEM or see Determining a PLC's IP Address using Wireshark .
-
Set the IP address of the Ethernet port on your laptop to be unique and on the same subnet as the PLC. For example:

To check and/or change the IP address of the Ethernet port on your laptop, refer to the following article from Microsoft: Essential Network Settings and Tasks in Windows | Microsoft Support
For example, in Windows 10:
Step 2)
Next, we will open TrakMaster. If TrakMaster is not already installed, you can download the latest version of TrakMaster from the B&R website. You can find the latest version installation within the SuperTrak Distribution linked below.

Step 3)
Upon opening TrakMaster, select the corresponding SuperTrak system, and press the “Connect” button. For example, my system is SuperTrakSim and the IP address of my system is 127.0.0.1.
Once connected, go to “File”, and select “Create Snapshot”
This will generate a “snapshot.gz” that can be shared with others to help in diagnosing your SuperTrak.
