What to use for IO communication, X2X or PowerLink?

Any Suggestions for IO module Communicating to PLC . With X2X limitations we know we can communicate or place a limited amount of IO Modules next to plc. AS 4.12 has option to check if we require Bus transmitter and reciever and power modules. but what about putting Those additional IOs which cant be put on X2X over Powerlink. Which is more Correct or best suitable X2X or Powerlink. The application is just simulating Digital signals and Giving Some AC voltage to DO6639 .

I would say generally speaking there is no “better”. Your bus draws too much power after those initial modules and it is likely that the voltage/signal drop gets too high after that - which AS lets you know about. Using a BT/BR combination uses a new power supply for the bus and thus strengthens the signal again for the next batch of modules.
This can be achieved in multiple ways, two of which you have shown.

One positive thing about using PLK to me would be the wiring since PLK is easier there (one network cable vs one cable with 3 wires + shield)
I am not aware of any drawbacks of using any of these two solutions, use what you feel more comfortable with. (Though until a certain amount of modules, the cycle time might be less than whats achievable with powerlink, but that’s probably a non-issue)
