PP015.E420-1 communication with IO modules XX426

Hello Folks, :grinning_face:

I got a PP015 with 16 Inputs and 16 Outputs, this PP has a CAN and RS232 communication.
Also, I got few IO modules of family 7XX with some issues, and I would like to use this PP15 to test the outputs and inputs of these modules.

Well here is the point, its possible communicate CAN to X2X link ?

The only IO module that has CAN communication interface are 7CXs.
The few models I have here they are X2X communication interface.

Any sugestion will be welcome, I have done some digging, but no lucky at the moment. :melting_face:

Welcome to the Community!

I’m not sure if I fully understand your question, but you could connect an X20BC0073 bus controller to the PP15. This allows you to connect an X2X network to the PP15 via CAN.

Hallo Orlando,

7XX modules are not supported behind a bus coupler. You need a CPU with an X2X interface to test the 7XX modules.

Indeed I would need an bus controller to communicate in X2X

We got now a new X20 CPU, to communicate with IO modules 7xx426

Yea after few digging, I found out that PP15 does not support X2X.
