X20CP0484 reboots when adding OpcUaCsMap.uad (AS 6.7 / AR 6.7.5)

Hello,

I have an X20CP0484 running:

AS 6.7.0.187

AR 6.7.5

OPC UA Client/Server 6.0.0

The OPC UA server itself works correctly.

UaExpert can connect successfully.

However, as soon as I add OpcUaCsMap.uad to the project, the controller starts rebooting continuously and the Ethernet link drops.

The issue occurs even in a completely fresh project:

- No application code

- No variables

- No PV mappings

- Only OpcUaCsMap.uad added

Without OpcUaCsMap.uad the controller runs normally.

Has anyone experienced this behavior on X20CP0484?

Thanks.

Hi,

is there a specific reason why you use the technology package OPC UA C/S 6.0.0 together with latest versions of AS and AR?
If not, could you please try the latest version 6.7.0.24 of OPC UA C/S:

Best regards!

Hello,

Try the newer version of the OPC UA C/S.

Hi @MarkovicMisa, I marked Alex’s answer as a solution because I think this is the only solution for your use. I am sure you have to update your version of the OPCUA CS module. Please update us anyway. You can for sure continue in the discussion and change the solution reply as needed.

Hi all,

thank you very much for your help and quick responses.

Updating the OPC UA Client/Server package was indeed the key. After reinstalling Automation Studio and upgrading the OPC UA package, the PLC stopped rebooting and the OPC UA configuration works correctly now.

I am still working on the UaExpert side, but the original reboot issue has been resolved.

Thanks for the update. Just a small hint from my side: For updating any package, you do not need to reinstall Automation Studio itself.
