Does the 5DLDVI.1000-01 video card touch screen work with smart cable com3 or does it only work with a serial 9 pin cable? I am running a B&R computer with XP and 5DLDVI.1000-01 card installed in a 5AP920.1505-KA0 15 inch monitor. running ELO touchscreen driver.

I haven’t any practical experience, but from the pinning described in the manual it looks like that a full-featured 9pin connection is needed.
In addition, the touchscreen driver manual (which is not the XP driver but W10/W11, it’s the only one I have access to right now) mentions that the serial connection uses hardware handshake.
The B&R PC’s internal COM3 is only supported via SDL.
