Automation Runtime can't be found

whenever i try to make a new project, when i select a cpu this error appears and doesn’t let me to continue, i tried to install AR locally and I still get the same message. and in the tools menu is gray and can’t click on it.

How can i install it properly ?

This EthernetIP_CPU is only used to configure B&R EthernetIP slaves and does not need an AR.
What is your goal ?

I just started a course and the guy is using this software,i used the trial license and tried to do what he does in the course,i tried creating a new project and i got stuck there where i get that AR error on whatever i check.

Hello,

Every Automation Studio version is installed together with some Automation Runtime versions. These versions can be seen in the preparation steps of the Automation Studio installation (see the example screenshot for AS 4.3). This means you have Automation Runtimes of certain versions for specific PLCs ready.

The information about a missing Automation Runtime usually appears when you try to create a configuration with an older PLC in a newer Automation Studio version.

If you are just trying to create a new project and don’t need any specific PLC, you should be at least able to create a configuration with “PC (Standard PC)”, also known as ArSim. The ArSim Automation Runtime should be installed with every Automation Studio version. If this is not the case, the installation did not proceed as expected.

Thanks guys,

it seems that the problem was just from the installation, i think i miss-clicked something and that was the problem,i just reinstalled it and after that i manually installed AR too and now it works
