Hi,
I would like to share with you one issue I have found on my AS 6.5 where I was not able to install one technology package, OpcUaCs 6.5, with Tools > Upgrades… and the sequence recommended from my local Support (thanks @Anthony Pope!) to fix that.
Context:
On my laptop I have already installed 2 OpcUaCs versions
but I needed the version 6.5 too, not present on Tools > Upgrades…:
Feedback from Support:
Is it possible they already had some versions installed? I don’t think they will show up in Tools-Upgrades if they are already installed.
Otherwise, they can try the following procedure. It has helped me several times in the past when customers could not see all available upgrades:
- Close all open Automation Studio instances.
- Open the Task Manager, to the Services tab (right-click task bar > Task Manager)
- Stop all BrUpgrSrvASxx services, where xx is the Automation Studio version in two digits (right-click > Stop).Leave this window open.
- Open a file explorer to C:\Temp\
- Delete the contents of this folder (if you use this for non-B&R temporary files, you can leave those)
- In the Task Manager Services tab, start each of the BrUpgrSrvASxx services where xx is the Automation Studioversion in two digits (right-click > Start).
- Close the Task Manager and open Automation Studio
- In the top menu, select Tools > Upgrades and check if you can see the latest upgrades.
Result:
I have followed all steps and finally I saw all missing OpcUaCs upgrade files:
Ciao
Valerio
