B&R PP 41 spare

Hi there!
Our customer has an obsolete machine Manumold45e with power panel B&R PP41 installed (with additional input/output modules). The company which manufactured molding machine does not exist anymore. Our customer set the task for us to prepare spare panel (HMI and PLC) for the molding machine to reduce downtime if something happened with the original one.
I would really appreciate it if you could help with the following questions:

  1. Is it possible to make a backup from the original panel ( including operating system, visualization and PLC program) and download this backup to the spare panel?
  2. As i understand, PP 41 is an old product and not supported for service anymore, could you suggest a reliable supplier for the spare panel?

Hello,

here is how to backup an old SG3 target:

I cannot give any “reliable” seller for B&R hardware other than B&R :wink:
I would suggest that you get in touch with your responisble B&R office and ask if any PP41 is still available
