I tried to Activate Simulation in Automation Studio 4.8 but the “Offline” status on the bottom rightside still didn’t change to RUN or turn to orange color, but there isn’t any error? how can I solve this?

Go to Online->Settings and add a connection to the IP 127.0.0.1 manually (or use an existing one, if it exists).

Edit: I saw Michal identified he target is not localhost, so follow his advice 
Make sure ARSim is running as a background task, and is green or red indicating its not off.
If its not red or green, you can try to restart by opening ARsim window
You can also try to close the ARSim application and re-open from automation studio by pressing sim button again.
If you still cant connect, you can restart PVI manager from PVI monitor window which you can open from the start menu…

If neither of the last options works, you can try deleting the temporary objects in the project root. Just leave the Physical and Logical packages and the project file. Normally, this works for me. Also, make sure the PVI service is running.
