Can't select CPU Core for task class

Hello and happy new year :slight_smile:

I want to use the different CPU cores for cyclic task classes as mentioned here: RELEASE 2025: Automation Studio 6.5 - Complete overview

I created a new AS Project to test it (AS6.5.0.306, AR6.5) but the “CPU Core” setting is not visible. I tested APC3200/APC3100/X20CP1686X and enabled advanced parameters but I still can not see it. Do I need to add something extra first to see this setting?

I just tested this with new AS6.5 project and for me I the selection is available there, even without enabling advanced parameter visibility.

Are you sure your project is using AR6.5?

Hello,

as i did the test also at same time, here my pictures. I came to same conclusion. Please verify the used AR-Version via Change Runtime.

Hi,

from what I’ve checked you also need the newest version of HW_Upgrade for the given device. I’ve checked with 5APC3200_RPL0_000 and for hardware upgrade 1.2.0.0 the task class core selection is available but for 1.1.0.0 it’s not.

Hello

Thank you for your inputs. I had not for all tested PC’s the newest version installed. With the newest update for APC3200 it is working now.
