Also a condensator backups the SRAM, but only for a shorter time.
So when the battery is low and there is no power for some time the SRAM and permanent and remanent data is lost.
The use of permanent/remanent data has no influence on the CPU life.
Some newer products only have remanent data and no permanent data.
