Error code 4735 during AS 4.12 installation

Error during AS 4.12 installation.
“The installation of ‘Prepare environment for AS’ has been aborted with error code 4735.”

Windows 11 Enterprise
Version 22H2
OS build 22621.2715

P.S. Same error code is shown when Install.exe is run as administrator.
Could not find anything related to this in AS help.

Hi Ranjith!

During the Automation Studio installation, if you don’t have the Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 installed, then you receive an error code 4735 from the ‘Prepare environment for AS.’

So the error comes from missing .NET Framework 3.5 (link to download it).

Please install it prior Automation Studio installation and try again.

In Windows 10+, the .NET Framework is a Windows feature, rather than a separate installation. It can be enabled through the Windows features control box (internet connection required to automatically download and install).

  1. Search for “Windows features” in the start search bar, or open the Control Panel > Programs and Features > Turn Windows features on or off.
  2. Check the box for .Net Framework 3.5 (includes .NET 2.0 and 3.0)
