Error during AS 4.12 installation, error code 4736.

Could not find anything related to this in AS help.

I’m not sure… but here in this discussion, 3.5 was activated with subfolders as well. Error code 4735 during AS 4.12 installation - #3 by austin.carpenter

Verify .NET 3.5 is truly installed, not just checked:

This looks ok. So problem obviously is somewhere else ;( I think you will need to get in touch with local support team. Maybe it is something new.
I checked with AI and it pointed a possible issue with TG:
In B&R Automation Studio 4.12, error code 4736 typically indicates that the Technology Guarding (TG) or CodeMeter licensing service has encountered an internal error, often due to an invalid software container or a conflict with existing licenses.
We have few posts regarding CodeMeter update, I have to check them.
Is it maybe a problem, if you first install AS6.5 and later AS4.12

for sure we can install both versions and run them at the same time as described in this post Is it possible running both Automation Studio versions (4 and 6) side by side
but I’m not sure if we must install AS 4.12 before AS 6.
I think, as @kovarj said, we should involve Support L1 because I see your case required more deep investigation .
