How to avoid the 4808 error with cpu1484

,

Hello.

Does anyone know why this error occurs when transferring a test project just by adding a visualization to CPU1484? The project does not contain anything, just a visualization to see how it works with REAL VNC SERVER.

Thank you.

How is the PVI error resolved?

Can this happen when feeding some visual configuration?

How to remove it so that we don’t get the 4808 error?

Using the installed 4.11.2.95 Automation Studio Help on my computer I found this in the PVI errors.

Since you were trying to delete the Visu object off the PLC well transferring, it makes sense that this is a PVI error.

How to solve the PVI error?

I have some visu, which we then eliminate

Can this be? How to remove completely?

Does X20cp1484 have enough memory for a visualization?

if is it problem of a memory, it can help if you stop PLC before transfering. For PLC stop you have button in tool bar next to transfer and monitor button.

everything is fine, but we cannot connect real vnc on the same pc with a simple visualization

We assume that this logger tells us that this x2cp1484 cpu does not have enough memory space, despite performing an offline transfer with offline plc and real vnc it does not open a small display.

Error 28710 in the logger says this cleary. So yes, you do not have enough memory for that.

1- This CPU only comes with 32 MB of RAM, is that true?

2- do we understand that there is no possibility of making a visualization with this type of CPU 1484?

3- does the T50 panel have memory to do some visualization project inside and be able to use it with CPU 1484?

1- This CPU only comes with 32 MB of RAM, is that true?

Yes, it is. 64MB RAM has CP1484-1

2- do we understand that there is no possibility of making a visualization with this type of CPU 1484?

This depends on the total RAM requirement of your application + system functions. E.g. enabled SDM webserver, profiler etc also take some amount. So if you need visualization you have to disable something else.

3- does the T50 panel have memory to do some visualization project inside and be able to use it with CPU 1484?

Problem you have, can not be solved by T50. T50 is VNC client, so your visualization is anyway running on DRAM of PLC side and send to T50 per request

A question:

  • if we weaken SDM we can gain DRAM memory, but with SDM disabled can we connect by online/setting/browser?

With SDM disabled the only way to transfer project is offline?

We do not have any project created, we want to create it, we do not have any task created and even so only at the beginning of this PLC needs memory to make a simole visualization? We will try disabling SDM is the only thing we can do to gain memory

Any suggestions always grateful

SDM has nothing to do with project transfer. If you disable SDM, you will lose access to system diagnostic using a browser. But this is, I hope, obvious.

Just a heads up: Your screenshot showing the connection settings to the VNC use (as you marked it) the IP 192.168.21.10 while your PLC actually has 192.168.250.10 as observed via the status bar of your automation studio. Unsure if that’s of any relevance, but I’d assume your PLC is the one running the visualisation?

Good appreciation Michael, but they are previous photos, we were changing IP’s to try with others, but always in range with the pc, and we did not get a connection with REAL VNC SERVER we assume that with a lack of memory according to the logger.

How to deactivate SDM?

By looking in the help

The VNC is for sure limited by memory. Have you tried a smaller visualization, to see if a visualization size is the issue? I.e. a 1600x1200 visualization requires at least 6 times the space as a 640 x 480 visualization.

The X20CP1484 is obsolete. Is this a update to an existing machine?

No, it is not an existing project, we just try to make a new very basic project without any task and only with the VNC we observe in SDM that the memory is complete (32Gb).

The display is 640 x 480.

We have also tried to disable SDM and we are still not able to connect with VNC.

Performing an offline transfer with the PLC in off there are no error messages but when we make the online transfer here in the logger it gives us the message of insufficient memory.

So little capacity has cpu 1484 with a minimum of project (no tasks only the configuration hardware) no longer executes a visualization?
